New Year, New blah blah blah. We know that the new year blogs are SO cliché but this one could actually serve you well for 2021. January is a great time to do some business spring cleaning while everyone is still on holidays (well, the lucky ones are!)

Before you run away, don’t worry, this doesn’t involve ACTUAL cleaning (as if we’d do that to you!).

Taking Stock and Spring Cleaning your Brand

We’re talking about spring cleaning your brand. This isn’t about doing a rebrand but more about taking stock of your brand, where it appears and is it in line with everything else.

What we want you to do is write down all the places you can find your brand. These could include:

  • Email signatures
  • Business cards
  • Letterheads
  • Social media platforms
  • Website
  • Vehicle wraps
  • Apparel
  • Billboards

You get the idea!

Analyse the Results

Write it all down and then look at your brand on each. Is it consistent? Or are there some discrepancies? For example, you may have had many different designers/signwriters working on your brand for different things, which has meant that your brand looks a little different on each item.

Before the New Year becomes Feb (and geez, that will come around fast!), why not work on getting your brand represented uniformly?

Break it down and do it one step at a time (it doesn’t have to all been done at once).

Given it's the new year (and you’ve probably splurged on Christmas presents and holidays!) go for the least expensive options first, like having an email signature created or fixing up your social platforms.

When your brand is represented consistently, you’ll create much better brand awareness for your target audience, which is what you want!
